Service Description

Our rock-climbing course is a natural step up from our popular Introduction to Climbing course, it's a good choice if you've had experience of indoor climbing or low-grade scrambles. You will spend the day seconding various single pitch routes. Based in several venues around Eryri (Snowdonia National Park) the day can be run with a maximum of 2 participants. What’s in Store? We will meet at a designated place for 9am on the morning of our day and go over the plan for the day’s events, taking in weather conditions, group members abilities and kit checks. Once at the crag the outline will be: - Crag etiquette - The use of guidebooks, understanding grades, choosing a route - Explanation of Climbing protection and how it’s used safely and correctly. - Correct use of the climbing harness - Rope Management, Tying in - Understanding belay devices and their variations - Safe Belaying techniques in ascent and descent - Climbing movement and communication - Removal and storage of leader placed protection. - Safe and efficient abseiling techniques What do I need? You will be spending the day at venues in a mountain environment and finishing around 4.30pm so a day pack containing the necessary clothing to keep you dry and warm is paramount. If you have your own helmet and harness you are very welcome to bring them along, if not let us know and we can supply you with them. Don’t worry we’ll have everything else covered! Upon booking a full kit list and further details will be sent. Course Cost: £210 per day Ratio:1:2 clients
